I was running an 11-42 cassette with 27.5×2.4’s and it was running great…then I got jealous of how great everybody’s 26×3 setups looked. Now, if I space the drive side out enough for my chain to not rub the tire, I get the classic backpedal downshift in my biggest cog. One spacer less and the chain hits. The chain coming off the top of the cassette has plenty of clearance where. the bottom is running 5 or so mm further in. Any suggestions???

Anyone have anything on this? I have yet to do it but this is my planned setup so i’m wondering what others have experienced. Justin – did you find a solution?

I just ran a 2.8 out back, but if you want to do it you need to buy the 12×142 thru axle dropouts from paragon, shove a 148 boost rear wheel in it and run a boost crankset. It’ll be basically like gnot boost that surly is running these days. I had already built my wheels so I didn’t want to rebuild my rear wheel…
