The Nitto Albatross is a staple handlebar in Rivendell's line-up. If you've seen more than a couple of Riv's built up, chances are, at least one of those builds had an Albatross Bar on it. The Albatross is a great all-arounder that can get you in a nice upright position. A defining aspect of the Alba is its 20mm internal diameter at the ends, which enables you to use bar end shifters on it. Setting these up with bar end shifters will free up a whole load of grip space, giving you a couple more comfy hand positions. These can be ridden upside-down as well, which is a nice way to ease into drop bars if you're wanting to make the switch, or just get that drop bar feel, without having to buy the levers and all that other jazz.
I'd recommend considering running a 10-20mm longer stem than you'd usually run with this bar, but you absolutely do not have to.
